Sustainability
Our values for a better tomorrow

Corporate sustainability is an important part of our corporate philosophy – regardless of whether it concerns our customers, employees, partners or environmental protection. We are happy to uphold the social, ethical and environmental standards of the PORR Group. These high standards are incorporated into our decisions and are subject to a continuous development process.

Sustainability
Focus on the environment

The environment is very important to us. That is why we are constantly optimising the technical standards of our products and services. We have developed the following resolutions for our company

Legal provisions

Compliance with legal requirements is a fundamental prerequisite for us. We implement them economically and technically – in the interests of environmental protection.

Resource-efficient construction

The use of ecological building materials is part of resource-efficient construction. The use of building elements with a high proportion of recyclable material is sustainable and sensible. That is why we rely on insulation materials made from renewable resources. Environmental criteria are already incorporated into our design and implementation planning and are monitored through ongoing controlling.

Waste management

Waste volumes and pollutants should be kept to a minimum on construction sites, especially the proportion of mixed waste. Demolition material must always be recycled, provided this is ecologically, economically, practically and technically feasible. Our pre-sorting and separation of waste fractions using a trough system has proven to be highly effective in this regard.

Emissions

Noise, light and air pollutant emissions should be kept to a minimum during construction work. We will clarify the timing of the relevant measures with local residents.

Environmentally friendly transport handling

Depending on the size of the construction site, transport arrangements for the entire project are planned during the construction preparation phase. This forms the basis for measures relating to the construction site setup, from transport routes to optimised construction phase planning. Partners are involved in this process from the outset and thus become part of our environmental management system.

Transport logistics

The objectives of a logistics concept are, on the one hand, to make transport as environmentally friendly as possible and, on the other hand, to make it as time-efficient as possible. Optimal construction site organisation and conflict-free interaction with local residents are important prerequisites for us in this regard.

Information flow and communication

It is important to us to inform local residents well in advance of the start of construction. We also want to communicate any changes to the schedule on our construction sites as quickly as possible. This ensures the best possible construction process for everyone involved.

Further training

Effective environmental management is only possible with the help of our employees. That is why we place great importance on individual training. This is the only way we can optimise our strategies in the areas of environmental management and project implementation and ensure that our high standards and goals in the area of the environment are achieved.
