The existing nursery group and the entire primary school, which dates back to the 1950s and has been renovated in recent years, will remain in place. From the summer semester of 2021, a new building will house a full-day nursery and a full-day toddler group in cooperation with the municipalities of Lorüns and Stallehr.

Numerous improvements (e.g. underground connection between the existing building and the new building, shared heating system) were already incorporated during the project preparation phase. The construction costs, which have now been unanimously approved by the city council, amount to around 2.2 million euros. We are well on schedule. As there were no schoolchildren present due to Corona, the construction work was even completed faster than planned. The weather also played its part. Construction should be completed in the summer semester of 2021.
