Groundbreaking ceremony for small power plant in St. Gallenkirch
/ News / Press Release
Due to the large difference in altitude between the Fidelisquellen spring at 1,292 m and the elevated tank from which the municipal area is supplied with water, the water arrives at the elevated tank with a lot of energy. This is currently reduced by means of a pressure reducing device. In order to be able to use this excess energy, a small drinking water power plant is now being built with a height difference of approx. 267 m to the spring.
