Rain and cool temperatures? No problem!
/ News / Press Release
The WIGE Open Region Day showed that genuine interest in the trades and construction industry can withstand any weather. Despite less-than-ideal conditions, we were pleased to welcome visitors throughout the day.
School Classes in the Morning
Three classes from the Sulz-Röthis and Klaus-Weiler-Fraxern middle schools gained exciting insights into the world of Nägele Hoch- und Tiefbau. There was plenty to experience at six interactive stations:
- A film on sustainability
- Operating an excavator
- Paving
- Assembling formwork themselves
- Operating a Ramax
- Tour of the workshop, including a paver on the lifting platform—a real highlight!
Our fantastic team of apprentices led the program with great dedication and passion. The goal was to spark enthusiasm for our apprenticeship programs in structural engineering, civil engineering, and paving—we look forward to receiving many applications! Thanks also to the instructors and chaperones for their support.
Open House for the Region in the Afternoon
In the afternoon, we opened our doors to visitors from the region. Young and old alike took the opportunity to try out the activity stations, ask questions, and take a look behind the scenes.
Over hot dogs, warm pretzels, and drinks from the Ländle, many great conversations took place and everyone enjoyed each other’s company.
Many thanks to all the visitors, participants, and our dedicated team for this special day!
